  • Dr. Parks published Handling and restraint induce a significant increase in plasma corticosterone in Hispaniolan Amazon parrots (Amazona ventralis) and presented this information at numerous conferences.
  • Worked at several wildlife hospitals, exotic pet hospitals, and AZA accredited zoos.
  • Served as a Raptor Rehabilitation Co-chair and cared of the non-releasable education raptors and the raptors being rehabilitated for release

Personal Interests

  • Dr. Parks enjoys hiking, painting, gardening, spending time with friends and family, and playing with her birds, which includes a budgie named Rainy and an Indian ringneck named Berry.
