Dr. Parks published Handling and restraint induce a significant increase in plasma corticosterone in Hispaniolan Amazon parrots (Amazona ventralis) and presented this information at numerous conferences.
Worked at several wildlife hospitals, exotic pet hospitals, and AZA accredited zoos.
Served as a Raptor Rehabilitation Co-chair and cared of the non-releasable education raptors and the raptors being rehabilitated for release
Personal Interests
Dr. Parks enjoys hiking, painting, gardening, spending time with friends and family, and playing with her birds, which includes a budgie named Rainy and an Indian ringneck named Berry.
